After much deliberation I have decided to start a gold coffee cup award (in keeping with my coffee cup system for marking a book). The gold award will be chosen by myself at the beginning of every month, for the previous month. This very prestigious award (well I think so anyway!),Will be presented (reality wise anyway) to the author/book that I found outstanding for that month, and would possibly have given a higher rating than a 5 star review if I could.
I read some fantastic books in December 2015, but after much deliberation my first award is going to be a joint one. There were two books that really stood out for me, for very different reasons, but I loved every page of them. So without further ado my first gold coffee cup award goes to…….
The Theseus Paradox by David Videcette and For Reasons Unknown by Michael Wood
Apologises to any author whose book I read in December, I enjoyed all the books I read, but for me these two were particularly outstanding. I’m really looking forward to reading both David and Michaels next book, and if you haven’t read these books yet, you really should, you don’t know what you are missing!
You can see my reviews and interviews with both authors here

For Reasons Unknown by Michael Wood
What book did you read in December you would give an award to? Please feel free to leave a comment
