Eeeeeek another day closer to Christmas, today I’m super excited (It feels like Christmas Eve, I’m that excited) to have the awesome and super talented Caroline Mitchell pop by the book review café to discuss all things Christmassy. So why not put your feet up and grab a mulled wine and take a moment to read all about a “Caroline Mitchell” Christmas
What is your favourite Christmas memory?
Getting a tiny tears doll. It was quite a novelty as it was a boy with all the parts! I think my mum was preparing me for the birds and the bees talk but I had great fun taking off its nappy and using it as a water pistol while chasing my friends.
Where will you be spending Christmas?
At home with my family. It’s even better this year as it’s my first Christmas since I left the police to write full time. Every year we used to stress over what days I would be scheduled to work over the Christmas period and miss out spending time with their family. It’s going to be bliss spending all this time at home, Christmas Eve, Christmas day, boxing day and the New Year! It’s the first time in nine years that I’ll be home for it all. It makes me well up just thinking about it.
Do you have any Christmas traditions?
I always get tipsy on a bottle of Prosecco while preparing the dinner, just a little bit of added Christmas cheer! After that, we do the same as everyone else; eat and drink too much then play a silly board game. I love everything about it.
Caroline’s hoping for snow this Christmas to walk her dog
What was your best ever Christmas present?
Spending time with my family on Christmas day, given to me by the readers who buy my books and bloggers such as yourself that help me reach them. (And if you’re looking for the non-sentimental version, my Macbook air. I love it as much as any living thing.)
What was your worst ever Christmas present?
Nothing. It was the year my husband and I said no presents and he actually took me at my word! Silly husband. He won’t be doing that again. 😉
Christmas greetings from Caroline & her family
Favourite Christmas tipple?
Prosecco or Champagne! If you can’t have bubbles at Christmas, then when can you?
What are you hoping for this Christmas?
I’m just so happy as I’ve gotten everything I want. I think Christmas is a time to be grateful for your lot and the people around you.
Have you got a Christmas message you would like to share with readers and bloggers?
To bloggers, never underestimate your value when it comes to launching a book. Without the exposure that you’ve given my new releases, I’m pretty sure I’d be working this Christmas day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I mean that. ❤To my readers, I say the same. I’ve been thrilled to reach so many people from all over the world and it makes my day when I hear that you’ve enjoyed my books. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and use the time to put your feet up, have a drink and enjoy the magic of the written word. xxx
