Welcome to another #TopFiveThursday post, today I’m delighted to have book blogger Jessica answer those pesky five question. In case you don’t know Jessica blogs over at http://jessicasreadingroom.com, her blog features a wide range of books, in Jessica’s words “I don’t read one particular genre. If I am interested in it I will read it, and I will read most genres”. I love Jessica’s reviews there short and concise (not like my own ramblings😂) so if you haven’t already checked out Jessica’s blog pop over and take a look.

Top 5 blogging tips that you would give to new bloggers?
Network! ‘Meet’ other bloggers- they can be so helpful with teaching you things you don’t know and are such nice people. They can also help you to go in a direction you might need/want your blog to go. Don’t be afraid to ask for help! Get a Twitter account- it really does help with networking.
If you use NetGalley, don’t go ‘request crazy’! You may end up with too many books needed to be reviewed at the same time. I don’t think I went too request crazy, but I am working on catching up on books to be reviewed. Be selective with your NetGalley choices, make sure it is a book you really will want to read.
Don’t get frustrated with the number of followers you have on your blog. I started to feel that I wasn’t really ‘getting out there’ as I don’t have many followers, but some other bloggers helped me to feel better about my blog and remember that I started it for ‘me’ first! Your ‘numbers’ will grow, it can just take time. Until then HAVE FUN with what you are doing.
Open comments up on your blog. I didn’t have that on my blog at first and I have since opened it up. I like getting the feedback I have been getting since I opened the comments on my posts.
Don’t do too much at once. Some can get overwhelmed with to many books to review/ interviews/blog tours/etc, that it takes away from the fun of doing a blog in the first place. Isn’t that why we started our blogs? Because we love reading and have fun doing this!

I am from Georgia. I am a mommy to twin rescue cats (Sage and Curry), I’ve been married for 4 years on March 16th. I am an admin on the Bookies page (link will be below). I began my blog mid-July 2016, so I am still a ‘baby blogger’ in many ways. I started my blog for me first.
I am having so much fun with it, learning new things, reading books I might not normally have read or known about, and have ‘met’ some great people! So far the ‘book blogging’ community has been so welcoming! I don’t stick to a particular genre for my blog as my reading interests are diverse. Basically, if it sounds interesting to me I will read it! I do read a lot of suspense/thrillers, and YA.

My thanks to Jessica for taking part in #TopFiveThursday.
