Today I’m thrilled to have the lovely Kate who blogs over at https://thequietknitterer.wordpress.com/ answer those pesky #TopFiveThursday questions. Kate reviews a wide range of books on her blog, and her reviews are fabulous to read, honest and to the point (unlike my own ramblings😂😂). Kate has also been nominated for the hidden gem book blog in the Annual Bloggers Bash 2017 Awards, so good luck to Kate 🍀

Top 5 blogging tips that you would give to new bloggers?
Never be afraid to ask for help, there’s always someone happy to help and the blogging community is made up of some of the nicest people – if they can’t help they will find someone who can.
Don’t fall into the trap of trying to read EVERYTHING, stick to what you like and what interests you.
Never be afraid to say you didn’t like a book, publishers will appreciate all feedback so long as it’s constructive. Say why you didn’t like the book, point out what didn’t work for you and what did.
Have fun, blogging shouldn’t be a chore. If it becomes stressful/hard etc step back, look at what’s bothering you and see what you can do to change that.
Join in the chatter, whether it’s the random chatter on social media about a book or begging a copy of a book from a publisher or a community chat. It’s the best way to make friends in the blogging community and most of them are so lovely – virtual hugs and chocolate are pretty much available 24/7!

Quite possibly one of the hardest lists to do!
My name is Kate, and I turned 30 this year. I’m mum to 1 human child of the toddling variety and 2 canines (a border collie and a border collie x). I’ve had a fascination with books for as long as I can remember and most of my spare time is spent either reading or knitting. I mainly read crime fiction and thrillers but I do have a tendency to pick something completely different when the mood takes me.
You can find my reviews at https://thequietknitterer.wordpress.com/ and I’m on Twitter as @murronsmama
My thanks to Kate for taking time out of her busy schedule to answer my #TopFiveThursday
