Today on #TopFiveThursday I have awesome book blogger Claire Knight. In case you didn’t know, Claire guest reviews over at the fabulous https://www.crimebookjunkie.co.uk. I never think of Claire as a guest reviewer to me she’s a book blogger, Claire’s also an important and much loved part of the blogger community.

Claire mostly reads and reviews crime and psychological thrillers and I love reading her honest reviews. I’m sure you already follow her and the lovely Noelle over at crimebookjunkie whose #TopFivePost you can read here in case you missed it. #TopFiveThursday with crimebookjunkie

Top 5 blogging tips that you would give to new bloggers?

Don’t be afraid to say no. I’ve learnt the hard way and I still find it hard to say no to certain people, books or publishers…

Less is more with Netgalley. Don’t go mad when you first join. Build up your review percentage and try to maintain it.

If you don’t enjoy a book, there is nothing wrong with putting it down and starting something new. There are too many other books out there to be read!

Embrace the blogging community, we don’t bite and we’re all supportive of each other!

Be honest with your reviews, they’re your reviews, your opinion, no one else’s.

IMG_2231I’ve loved books as long as I can remember. Other than the slight detour into chick lit in my 20s, I’ve mainly read crime fiction starting with the Enid Blyton classics of the Famous Five and the Secret Seven.

I’ve been guest reviewing for Noelle and Crimebookjunkie for a year and a half (ish) and this opportunity has introduced me to so many fantastic authors. I fit my reading in around my work life in a specialised department of a pensions administration company and home which I share with my husband and two gorgeous little boys (I’m not biased at all).

I’ve also never considered Claire as a guest reviewer, but as a full book blogger! She fantastically good at it! I trust her reviews and I’m very happy she loves my favorite genres so I can get more recs :p Oh, I’m reading Watching the Bodies soon! And damn I’m the last one who hasn’t read anything from Robert Bryndza yet!!!
I’m still learning to say no to requests!
Awwww, now I’m honored to be on her list with such fab bloggers! Thank you, Claire ❤
